Marble is truly a fashionable tile selection in numerous houses. It provides a unique beauty that can only be provided by natural stone. Whether in a kitchen, bathroom, or foyer, marble can easily add to the look of just about any area of your residence. However, with this type of attractiveness there does come a price. But we are not talking anything extraordinary. Just keep it clean.

The one thing to keep in mind about marble is that it is easily scratched. So you want to make sure to keep it swept regularly. All of the incredibly small dust particles that can so easily accumulate upon your floors can also easily produce tiny scratches galore. These types of scratches can certainly build up after some time and totally take away the natural luster and attractiveness of your marble.

Routine sweeping will eliminate the amount of dust, dirt, soil, or any other materials that can find their way onto your marble floors on a daily basis. All these materials are very abrasive, especially when they are constantly walked on. Get yourself into a habit of sweeping at least 2-3 times a week. Use a soft bristled broom or even better, one made of micro fiber. There are also vacuums on the market that are specifically made for hard floor surfaces. These types of vacuums are designed to be gentle on hard floor surfaces and thus reduce the possibility of scratching or scuffing.

Along with sweeping you also need to keep your floors mopped. The basics for this are clean warm water plus a soft or micro fiber mop. You’ll find specific cleaners that you can purchase for mopping marble tile but unless you have staining, they are not really mandatory. In case you do decide to use any one of these cleaning products be sure to read through and adhere to the instructions.

When you have an accidental spill of some kind you must make sure to initially remove all the material by using a towel or wet/dry vac. Utilize some warm water along with a clean towel to clean the area and then dry it with another clean towel. Easy. An item to bear in mind whenever you are cleaning up a spill is to rinse out the area completely with clean water after cleaning to ensure there is no residue remaining. Residue from cleaning products or through not rinsing thoroughly may actually attract more grime and dirt. So be sure you rinse and dry right after each cleaning.

Marble is not merely a financial investment; it also entails an investment of your time. However, if you take care to appropriately maintain your marble flooring, the investment will totally prove its worth with many, many years of beauty and class.

In certain rooms of our homes we are not prepared to cut corners regarding their cleaning. It might happen to you to leave your bedroom in a mess, after waking up late, trying several outfits, and leaving hastily to work without arranging the blanket on your bed. But when it comes to the kitchen or the bathroom you have many reasons to be more attentive.

The idea of kitchen has started to interlace more and more with that of living-room. The reason is that it represents the place where all the members of a family get together in the evening, share the events in their day, cook dinner, watch TV or read the newspaper. Most of the times, you invite your friends to join you while making the coffee or a cup of tea. That is why this room needs to have a pleasant aspect at all times. Maintaining the bathroom properly sanitized is a measure of watching over the health of your family. It is the shiny clean room where you will always love to have a foam bath.

To guarantee a beautiful aspect and an easy cleaning of these spaces you can install marble counter-tops in these rooms. The bars or the islands of the modern kitchen can be covered with this material, enabling the cook to move efficiently while also being able to socialize with the other persons nearby.

The fact that marble is a natural stone which can be found in several colors, makes it very suitable for the kitchen. Being a select material, likely to be damaged by acidic foods, the colorful marble helps you conceal the persistent stains. But, the best thing to do is to prevent them entirely, by constantly cleaning and maintaining the surface dry.

Bathroom counter-tops can also be made of marble. Mounting your sink under the counter leads to an effect of uniformity, and to an easy to clean surface. In dark or small bathrooms you should choose white or creamy marble tiles to bring more light and to enhance the idea of space. These colors will also contribute to a sensation of perfect cleanness.

The marble tiles are a good choice for most houses, both traditional and contemporary, because they are very beautiful and extremely easy to maintain.

The Perfect Tiles For Your Balcony

I’m sure every apartment owner has always dreamt of owning a terrace or a balcony, especially during the hot summer days when we all like a shadowy place to relax and chill out. No matter how big the balcony may be, you need to make sure that you only use durable materials that can resist against bad weather conditions.

If you think redecorating is extremely costly, you haven’t tried tiles yet. These materials are great because unlike wood flooring, they don’t crack, bloat or lose their colors, yet they are incredibly affordable. Thanks to these resistant materials your balcony needs not be enclosed anymore; on the contrary, you may even use it as a sun bath terrace in the summer.

The first step you need to make in order to begin redecorating your balcony is to determine which materials are best for your purpose. Whatever your choice may be just make sure you pick water resistant materials, especially if you like plants and you don’t want your terrace to catch mold from humidity. You may protect yourself and your family from getting severely injured by covering the floor with non-skid slabs which do not become slippery in contact with water.

The average temperature in your city is an important factor you need to take into consideration when you purchase construction materials for the redecoration of your balcony. Too many degrees above or below zero may cause inflexible tiles to crack; for that matter, you need to purchase travertine or limestone slabs which can easily contract and expand during abrupt temperature variations without breaking.

The basic redecoration of the balcony presupposes tiling the floor; however, there are people who choose to cover the walls with slabs, too, and they confer the terrace a modern look. You may follow designers’ latest examples and use brick or stone-like tiles for the walls and terracotta slabs for the floors. Even though naturals shades are the favorite colors of customers, manufacturers offer a rich palette of shades to their clients, so both eccentric and conservative people can find the products they need.

Unless you do something to prevent it, the beauty of your balcony will soon fade away. It would be such a pity for not everybody is as lucky as you are to own a small oasis in the center of the city, so make sure you buy the best tiles you can find and renew the aspect of your terrace right away.

Choose limestone tiles for an array of wonderfully colored, practical and aesthetical materials that will enliven your home.

Marble Tiles Mean Affordable Luxury For Your Home

While choosing the color of the walls is a heavy duty for a novice, floors might give some headaches as well. The renovating process is a constant struggle between you taste, your design knowledge and your bank account. The first two are totally subjective and can be changed. But the card is not very flexible. And we all know that cheap sometimes means even more expensive.

Somehow, we all learnt the hard way that cheap sometimes means more expensive. So we try to replace that word with a friendlier one: affordable. But is it available only for the moment of purchasing? Again, experience tells us that is it not. Because buying and having are two different aspects.

You think that classic hardwood parquet would look great in all the rooms of your house. And it might. But when you come inside after a rainy day, you wish you could fly over it; suddenly, you can almost see the stains.

I made a combination of cappuccino and beige tones for the hallway, kitchen and bathroom. The whole surface looks really classy but in a modern way. And it is really easy to clean.

My hallway is a very chic place now, with a beige touch from the marble. My shoes can be as dirty as possible; all I need is a mop and get my clean hall back. The kitchen is a place where almost all of the food I cook may leave a stain. I don’t that to remember the last week menu. The marble tiles are not stain-proof but they are very resistant. Most of all, they require a low maintenance.

Once I put the marble tiles in all the rooms of my house (yes, all!), I discovered a very easy to maintain fabric. My mop makes wonders and the marble looks like it is going to stay there for a while, with a very elegant aspect as well. Not only I afforded to buy the marble tiles, but I afford to have them. That is what I call a good business.

The marble tiles are an elegant and affordable decoration for any place of your house
